The Intero Story
Established in October 2002, Intero Real Estate Services Inc, has quickly become one of the premier real estate brands in the country.
Guided by principles of trust, respect, and integrity Intero's founders embarked on a mission to change the face of real estate. Intero, an Italian word that means "entire" or "whole," was the namesake of the founder's philosophy of empowering people-clients, agents and employees-to achieve their dreams in all areas of their life. Their vision was to create a different kind of real estate company - a company that focused on more than corporate profits and selling houses, one that offered training, education and alternative support for its people, such as life coaching and health and fitness programs to help them grow into better individuals personally and professionally.
Agents and clients alike quickly began to embrace Intero's revolutionary concept and almost overnight Intero open home signs were popping up everywhere. Within two years, the company was challenging the Bay Area's most powerful brokerages for top ranking as Silicon Valley's best real estate firm. In less than five years, Intero had grown from one office to more than 40 offices, encompassing more than 1,800 agents. Today, Intero has offices in California, Colorado, Nevada, Texas and Mexico.
The brokerage has been honored with numerous awards including being named the fastest growing real estate company in the nation, out of 80,000 brokerages - REALTOR® Magazine, (2005), as well as the number one residential real estate brokerage in Silicon Valley - Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, (2005). Gino Blefari Intero's President and CEO, and Chairman Bob Moles were also given the "RISMedia National Home Ownership Award" at the 2007 NAR Conference & Expo for "outstanding achievements among residential real estate's most influential and charismatic leaders." Recently this past June chosen by the readers of the San Jose Mercury News, Intero was named "The Best Real Estate Company in Silicon Valley."
Intero's headquarters' location in the heart of Silicon Valley has given the company a nationally competitive advantage. Intero has been a first-mover on many of the industry's most innovative applications, including being one of the first to partner with and launch AgentAchieve™.
Intero's web site, created in partnership with Palo Alto based Terabitz, was ranked number four in "The Top Ten Real Estate Brokerage Websites in America" report, a detailed examination of the corporate websites maintained by the 500 largest brokerage companies in the country conducted by 1000 Watt Consulting and Real Trends.
In Q4 of 2008 Intero launched a new concept for real estate office design with the Intero AndareSM office, a small, technology-rich and more eco-friendly space that's designed for today's mobile REALTOR®. The office uses tablet PCs, keyless entry, Voice Over IP (VoIP), flat screen plasma TVs, a high speed Wi-Fi network, and Web-based transaction management software that gives agents the ability to manage entire client files online and eliminate the need for paper and storage. Designed to be 'green', the Intero Andare office's small footprint means fewer construction materials and waste, resulting in less impact on the environment. It also means less energy consumed in maintaining the office on an ongoing basis. Intero has continually been a leader in encouraging more environmentally-friendly business practices through its alliance with EcoBroker® International for years. In fact, Intero was awarded the EcoBroker Community Service Award in 2006, given by EcoBroker International and the Association of Energy and Environmental Real Estate Professionals.
