Opening The Intero Foundation Technology Lab

Boys&Girls Club

Last week, we opened the first Intero Foundation Technology Lab at the Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley's  Alviso Clubhouse. This was a big project our Cupertino office sponsored.  It took us several months to put the lab together after the funds were granted back in May as the room was in very poor condition.  It took some time and lots of effort but we fix it! Our grant of $10,000 was used to purchase new Dell equipment, new workstations for Clubhouse youth to utilize and to enhance STEM activities which include basic computer literacy skills, internet safety courses, and technology clubs.  With these skills and experiences, kids are given the opportunity to explore different potential career paths that might have not been on the table otherwise.

Jess and I attended the ribbon cutting and opening ceremony which took place on Wednesday, November 20th and I must say it was very heart warming to see the children excited, happy and asking so many questions about the new space.   I have put together a short clip for you to see where your generous, hard earned donations go and the impact it has.
