On Tuesday, the Intero Foundation presented its first (of many!) fourth quarter grant checks. School Health Clinics of Santa Clara County, a first time Intero Foundation recipient based in Gilroy, focuses on providing high quality primary healthcare for low-income and uninsured children. For 28 years this non-profit pushed itself to grow well beyond its humble roots and kept itself going with the help of volunteers, the community, and like-minded donors who believed in their cause.

According to School Health Clinics of Santa Clara County, one out of every ten children in the county lives in poverty. This non-profit goes above and beyond to give those children access to the healthcare they need to grow into healthy adults.

The Intero Foundation just donated $8,000, enough to provide 145 children with much needed medical support such as physical exams and immunizations. We’re confident that this is money well spent and are honored to contribute to such a wonderful, giving organization!
