The Intero Foundation Awards Nearly $300,000 to Local Organizations in 2019

CUPERTINO, Calif. (February 5, 2020) - The Intero Foundation, a non-profit devoted to helping children and elderly in need, is pleased to announce the donations made to 20 organizations in 2019. The Foundation gave $291,227 to local organizations that support low-income and disadvantaged youth, as well as elderly in need. In addition to these funds, the Intero family also pulled together to donate $5,000 to the Gilroy Foundation specifically for the victims of the tragic shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation, which is funded, promoted and governed by Intero’s agents and employees, has donated more than $5.5 million.

In addition to the donations for 2019, there has also been a leadership change for the Intero Foundation. Nisha Sharma, who led the organization as President for 2019, finished her tenure and Stephanie Hicks will take over as President for 2020.
